About Rivergate Pediatrics

History

Rivergate Pediatrics has been serving children and families in north Nashville, Davidson, Sumner, Wilson, Robertson, Cheatham, Dickson, and some Kentucky counties since 1977 when Dr William F. Fleet opened his pediatric practice in Goodlettsville. He was joined by Dr Elizabeth Pierce in 1981 and the practice was renamed Rivergate Pediatrics.  Originally located on Rivergate Parkway (then known as Two Mile Pk), the practice designed and moved into a building on Bluebird Drive. In that location, which was built for three doctors, we grew,  welcoming Dr. Julia Thompson, Dr. Joan White,  and Dr. Keith Thompson.  Dr. Fleet retired in 1998 and Dr. Robin Pearson started in fall of 1999.  In 2000 Dr. Tim Eidson joined us  and we were six doctors in a space for three. In 2003 we moved again, to our present location, hopefully having designed a building that it is big enough, with enough parking, for some time to come.  Dr. Pierce retired in 2008, Dr. Julia Thompson retired in 2013. Dr Lu, who was with us for two years, moved north so his wife could finish her pediatric training and Dr Suzanne Field has become our newest colleague.
